BIOGRAPHY
With their eyes fixed on independent music from across the Channel, both past and present, the brother-sister duo Fallen Alien develops their songwriting in a small studio on the north Breton coast, enriched over the years. Taking its name from a track by British singer FKA Twigs, Fallen Alien finds intersections to blend seemingly incompatible universes. The "Alien" represents both their music, influenced by a range of artists from Kae Tempest to King Krule and MGMT, and the figure through which the duo aims to tell the world.
Fallen Alien distills a sound free from the classic structures of pop, rich with shifting atmospheres. It is driven by a rhythmic foundation with trip-hop accents, adorned with guitars and analog synthesizers. Playing with a back-and-forth between storytelling and a stark look at reality, Cole’s vocals transport the listener, evolving between assertive spoken-word and dark lyricism. Joined on stage by two other musicians, the duo delivers a live performance that feels like an emotional trip, propelled by Cole’s charismatic voice.
