Like MANJUL, Reggae needed to return to its roots, to its homeland. Having been touched by Reggae since childhood, MANJUL has championed and elevated this music from a young age, building studios around the world, particularly in the Indian Ocean and Africa, producing and participating in albums for artists like TIKEN JAH FAKOLY, AMADOU & MARIAM, SUGAR MINOTT, AFRICAN BROTHERS, DANAKIL, TOUMANI DIABATÉ, NATTY JEAN, and TAKANA ZION.

One day, he wanted to bring all his skills together on a project that would become his DNA, serving as a social, cultural, and spiritual testimony of a lifetime. With DUB TO MALI, MANJUL mixes Roots Reggae and traditional Jamaican Dub with a variety of musical genres from Mali and neighboring countries. This blend is masterfully orchestrated by one of the undisputed masters of Dub, showcasing a unique musical approach through this project.
