BIOGRAPHY
Hailing from Brussels, Pierre Mignon, known as PEET, made his name with the group Le 77 before branching out on his own. A rapper, lyricist, and beatmaker, PEET draws from personal stories, urban tales, and life experiences. Inspired by ordinary people, he translates into his lyrics what he sees and hears, what he lives and feels. A voice for his generation, PEET is very much a product of his time.
Sensitive and authentic, the rapper’s nuanced style captivates ever-growing audiences who come to see him live. In February 2023, he returned to the Belgian charts with his album TODO BIEN, which went beyond borders, amassing 3 million streams, including 2 million in France. Mixing introspective lyrics with crowd-moving bangers, PEET invited friends and fellow rappers JEANJASS, PRIMERO, and ROMEO ELVIS to join him on the album. Though PEET is a pillar of the current Belgian rap scene, his reach into France is just beginning!
The Todo Bien Tour was also a resounding success. PEET performed at renowned venues and festivals, including the mainstage at Dour Festival, Francofolies de SPA, and Couleur Café. In autumn 2023, he sold out shows in Paris for a double date at La Maroquinerie and in Brussels at Ancienne Belgique’s grand hall, backed by a talented live band: VEEKO on drums (Swing, Aloïse Sauvage, L’or du Commun, Scylla, Ichon, Joanna), NICOLAS FELICES on bass (Camille Lellouche, Nemir, Yseult, Aloïse Sauvage), FERDI on saxophone (Dabeull, Sofiane Pamart, Ichon, Beesau, Scylla), and ELVIN GALLAND on piano (Vianney, Mentissa, Saskia, Manu Katche), alongside his longtime companion, MORGAN VAN DER GHINST.
With a unique formula, PEET is undeniably one of the rappers to watch closely this year. Determined to reveal a lesser-known side of his world, he unveils deep emotions in his new album À DEMAIN with a captivating lyrical finesse. The album features exciting collaborations (Caballero, EleA, Ben PLG, White Corbeau, Artÿ), and a date at La Cigale in Paris is set for November 23, 2024!
