BIOGRAPHY
SIOUL is a pop-electro project that already seems convinced of its universe. Jules Monnier, the only captain at the helm, outfits himself with guitars, a bass, and his computer to establish his sound. This sound is already sensitive and surprisingly expansive; the first listens impress with their sonic ambition and the voice that soars over guitar loops, blending atmosphere and thunder. Not at all overwhelmed by the acknowledged influences (Jeanne Added, Peter Kernel), which serve as reassuring and easily understood reference points in this artistic trial by fire, SIOUL is an audacious project that connects us to our own life stages. There’s no doubt he will take pride in recalling, with a sense of mischief, this first chapter that certainly contains the seeds of his forthcoming artistic flourishing.
