DUB SILENCE, is a reggae/dub/hip-hop group featuring a trio of singers at the forefront and an atypical aesthetic.
But it hasn't always been this way: the journey has been long for the band to find its style and sonic identity. Let us tell you how it all began. The start of their story is marked by their first music video, "Home Made," filmed and recorded in 2012 using a small camcorder for the visuals and a Macbook with Garageband for the audio. As a fun fact, their vocals were recorded with the Macbook's built-in microphone, and the same goes for the guitar tracking. The rest of the sounds were created using software instruments known as "MIDI." With very few resources and a lot of naivety (and an English accent reminiscent of the worst high school language learners), they released "Musical Opposition," which became the first stepping stone in their journey.
